Ntuthuko Biz's data handling commitment

Ntuthuko Biz aims to collect information for clear platform purposes, use it fairly, protect it appropriately, keep it accurate where possible and respect user rights.

What personal information means

Personal information can include information relating to an identifiable living person and, where applicable, an identifiable existing juristic person such as a company.

Business information that may contain personal information

Business listings may include founder names, phone numbers, emails, locations, quotes, photos, story details and documents that can identify people.

Lawful reasons for processing information

Processing may be based on consent, contract steps, legitimate platform interests, legal obligations, user-submitted publication requests, safety, or the need to perform the requested service.

Processing for business listings

Listing processing includes reviewing submitted details, creating public profiles, categorising businesses, showing badges, enabling contact buttons and supporting search filters.

Processing for verification

Verification processing may include checking submitted documents and information to decide whether internal Ntuthuko Biz trust badges should be displayed.

Processing for funding and investor opportunities

Funding and investor workflows may require additional review of business information, opportunity details, investor preferences and due diligence requests.

Processing of uploaded documents

Uploaded documents should be handled as controlled information, not public listing content, unless a user agrees that selected information may be published.

Processing of investor information

Investor information may be used to assess suitability for opportunity notifications, manage requests, record interest and facilitate introductions where appropriate.

Processing contact and enquiry information

Contact-form and enquiry information may be used to respond, create follow-up tasks, route requests internally and maintain business records.

Data quality and accuracy

Users should submit accurate information and update Ntuthuko Biz when public listing or application information changes.

Data minimisation

Ntuthuko Biz should request only the information reasonably needed for the relevant listing, verification, funding, investor, promotion, exhibition or support workflow.

Security safeguards

Ntuthuko Biz should apply reasonable safeguards such as access controls, secure hosting, careful document handling and staff awareness as the platform develops.
